If you have concerns about how we have handled personal information, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate the matter.
You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.
One thing I would definitely add alongside this is a separate Cookie Policy and proper “Accept / Reject / Manage Cookies” banner if your site uses Google Analytics, Google Ads tracking, Meta Pixel or similar technologies. The ICO says consent must generally be obtained before non-essential storage/access technologies are used; merely telling visitors that cookies are being used is not enough. (ICO)
Also, because children may directly access your online learning system, the ICO’s current guidance says children’s privacy information should be transparent and clear, and children have data-protection rights in their own right. (ICO) I would therefore create a much shorter “Privacy Information for Pupils” page in child-friendly language for HomeworkPlus/your pupil portal as well.
