These Terms & Conditions apply to tuition and educational services provided by Eleven Plus Centre (“we”, “us” or “the Centre”). By enrolling a pupil, booking tuition or using our services, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Enrolment & Tuition
Places are subject to availability and are confirmed by Eleven Plus Centre.
We aim to provide high-quality tuition and educational support tailored to our pupils. However, we cannot guarantee admission to any particular school, examination result, grade or other academic outcome.
Parents and guardians are responsible for providing us with accurate information about their child and informing us of any educational, medical, behavioural or other information that may reasonably affect their child’s tuition or welfare.
2. Tuition Fees & Payment
Tuition fees must be paid in accordance with the payment arrangements stated at enrolment or booking.
Where tuition is paid monthly, payment reserves the pupil’s place for that period and is not calculated according to the number of lessons the pupil chooses to attend.
Fees remain payable for a pupil’s reserved place even where lessons are missed because of illness, holidays, school activities, examinations, family commitments or other personal circumstances.
Payments must be made by the due date. Where a payment fails or becomes overdue, we may retry the payment, contact the parent or guardian and/or temporarily suspend tuition or access to our online services until the account has been brought up to date.
Our current tuition fee is £23.50 per hour. Pupils attend for two hours each week, giving a weekly tuition cost of £47.
Rather than charging different amounts each month depending on the number of lessons, the annual tuition cost is spread evenly across the 11 months from September to July inclusive.
The monthly fee is calculated as follows:
£47 per week × 38 teaching weeks = £1,786 per academic year
£1,786 ÷ 11 months = approximately £162.36 per month
Our current monthly fee is therefore £160 per month.
The 38 teaching weeks are based on our published term dates.
Please note that tuition fees are subject to review and may be revised from time to time. Where fees are changed for existing pupils, we will provide reasonable notice before the revised fee takes effect.
3. Refunds
Tuition fees are not normally refundable once the relevant tuition period or service has commenced.
We do not normally provide refunds, partial refunds or credits for:
- lessons missed by the pupil;
- sickness or absence;
- holidays or travel;
- late arrival;
- school events or examinations;
- a decision not to attend lessons that have already been reserved; or
- unused access to educational resources or the learning portal during a period for which access has been provided.
Where Eleven Plus Centre cancels a lesson and we are unable to provide a reasonable replacement lesson, alternative arrangement or credit, the appropriate amount will be refunded or credited.
Any refund offered outside these circumstances is at the discretion of Eleven Plus Centre and does not create an obligation to provide the same concession on another occasion.
Nothing in these Terms affects a customer’s statutory rights.
4. Discount Codes, Vouchers & Promotional Offers
From time to time, Eleven Plus Centre may offer promotional prices, discount codes, vouchers or other special offers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- an offer is valid only during the period specified;
- any discount code or promotional offer must be applied at the time of booking, enrolment or payment;
- discount codes cannot normally be combined with another promotion or offer; and
- eligibility for an offer is subject to any conditions stated with that offer.
Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively once a booking or payment has been completed.
If a parent or guardian forgets to enter a discount code, does not receive or see a promotional communication, enters the code incorrectly, or becomes aware of an offer after making payment, this does not create an entitlement to a retrospective discount, refund, partial refund, credit or price adjustment.
It is the responsibility of the person making the booking or payment to ensure that any applicable promotional code has been correctly entered or applied before completing payment.
Eleven Plus Centre may, entirely at its discretion, choose to honour a promotion retrospectively in exceptional circumstances, but is under no obligation to do so.
We reserve the right to amend, withdraw or refuse a promotional offer where its conditions have not been met or where we reasonably believe an offer has been used incorrectly.
5. Cancelling Tuition
Parents wishing to permanently withdraw a pupil from regular tuition must provide one calendar month’s written notice.
Tuition fees remain payable throughout the notice period whether or not the pupil attends lessons.
Notice should be provided in writing by email or through another written communication method accepted by the Centre.
Stopping a recurring payment or Direct Debit does not, by itself, constitute notice of cancellation and does not remove liability for fees properly due during the notice period.
Requests to temporarily pause tuition will be considered individually. We cannot guarantee that a pupil’s place will remain available following a break unless this has been expressly agreed with us.
Any applicable statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
6. Missed Lessons
If a pupil is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, parents should inform us wherever reasonably possible.
We are not obliged to provide a refund or replacement lesson for a pupil’s absence.
Where practical, we may allow a pupil to attend another suitable class, provide lesson materials or make alternative resources available. Any such arrangement is subject to availability and is offered at our discretion.
An alternative lesson cannot always be guaranteed.
7. Trial Classes & Diagnostic Assessments
We may offer trial classes and/or diagnostic assessments to help determine a pupil’s current level, suitability for a class and areas requiring development.
Assessments and recommendations represent our professional educational judgement based on the information available at the time. They should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future attainment, examination results or entry to a particular school.
Any promotional terms applying to free or discounted trials or assessments must be satisfied in order for the offer to apply.
8. Pupil Attendance & Behaviour
Pupils are expected to attend punctually, behave respectfully and follow reasonable instructions given by tutors and staff.
We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw tuition where a pupil’s behaviour is persistently disruptive, abusive, unsafe or significantly interferes with the education or welfare of other pupils or staff.
Where reasonably possible, we will discuss significant concerns with the parent or guardian before taking such action.
Parents remain responsible for the safe arrival and collection of their children at the appropriate times unless another arrangement has expressly been agreed.
9. Online Learning & Homework Portal
Pupils may be provided with access to our online learning platform, homework portal, videos, assessments, educational resources and other digital learning tools.
Access is provided solely for the personal educational use of the registered pupil.
Login details must not be shared with other pupils, families or third parties.
We may update, replace or change features, materials and technology used within the platform as our educational services develop.
Occasional interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to restore affected services, but temporary interruptions do not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
Portal access may be suspended or withdrawn in cases of misuse, non-payment or once the pupil’s entitlement to access has ended.
10. Educational Materials & Copyright
All worksheets, teaching materials, questions, assessments, videos, solutions, study resources, portal content and other materials supplied by Eleven Plus Centre remain our intellectual property or that of the relevant copyright owner.
Materials are supplied for the personal educational use of the registered pupil only.
They must not be copied, reproduced, sold, uploaded, published, distributed, shared with other families, placed on social media or other websites, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
11. Changes to Classes & Services
We may occasionally need to make reasonable changes to tutors, classrooms, lesson times, teaching arrangements, course content, educational resources or delivery methods.
We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes wherever practicable.
A change of tutor does not in itself constitute cancellation of the tuition service.
12. Parent Responsibilities
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that:
- tuition fees are paid when due;
- pupils attend punctually and are appropriately collected;
- contact information supplied to us remains accurate;
- relevant information concerning the pupil is communicated to us;
- homework and independent study are reasonably supported;
- portal usernames and passwords are kept secure; and
- pupils use our services and educational materials appropriately.
13. Data Protection
We process personal information relating to pupils, parents and guardians in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
While we will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing tuition, Eleven Plus Centre cannot guarantee particular academic results, examination scores, school offers or admission outcomes.
Parents remain responsible for decisions concerning school applications, examinations and their child’s education.
We will not be responsible for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
15. Circumstances Outside Our Control
Where lessons cannot take place because of circumstances outside our reasonable control — for example severe weather, building closures, government restrictions, transport disruption or significant technical problems — we may provide tuition through an alternative method, reschedule the lesson or make another reasonable arrangement.
16. Complaints
We want parents to raise any concerns with us as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve them.

17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The current version will be published on our website. Where a significant change affects an existing pupil’s ongoing tuition arrangement, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms limits or removes any rights that a consumer is entitled to under applicable law.
